If you’re an Australian fashion devotee, the name Ingrid Verner should surely ring a bell. Verner is the V in TV, one half (the other half being Monika Twywanek) of the now deceased Melbourne label with a cult-like following. With capsule collections for Sportsgirl and Topshop under their belt, TV’s future looked promising – that was until the duo called it quits in 2010. I cried a million tears.
But one cannot remain in the past forever. Especially now that Ingrid Verner has jumped back into the saddle with her namesake label. Just last week, Melbourne’s veritable Japanese fashion superstore, Pet Shop Girls, began playing host to Verner‘s inaugural collection. Featuring sorbet hues and a show stopping print of Leigh Bowery, Verner’s got your summer poolside wardrobe sorted, just add a deck chair and cocktails.
